The Calcasieu Parish Public Trust Authority was established in 1979 through legislation enacted by the State of Louisiana, with the mission of providing affordable housing finance for first-time homebuyers in Calcasieu Parish. Since then, The Trust has expanded its jurisdiction to cover the five parishes of Southwest Louisiana—Allen, Beauregard, Cameron, Jefferson Davis, and Calcasieu—and broadened its capabilities to include issuing bonds for industrial development.
